Customer Analytics

Managing one customer's record is different from seeing how your whole customer base behaves. This covers the Customers and Loyalty analytics tabs — account-wide trends, not one person's history.

How Customer Analytics Works

Access requirements. You'll need view access to "Analytics & Reports."

  • These two tabs cover your whole account, not one store. Unlike every other Analytics section, there's no store selector here — even on a multi-location account, the numbers you see are merchant-wide.

  • Anonymous and walk-in sales aren't counted toward any customer. Only orders attached to an actual customer record feed most of these numbers. Anonymous sales get their own comparison chart, but nothing else.

  • These two reports can only be scheduled monthly. Unlike most other reports, Customers and Loyalty don't offer daily or weekly delivery.

  • This isn't where you'd look for one specific customer's own numbers. For that, open their profile directly — it shows their lifetime total spent and order count on its own. This report is about your customer base as a whole.

Step 3

Review the top metrics, then "Identified vs. Anonymous Revenue" and "New vs. Returning Customers" below them.

Troubleshooting

  • You expected a store-specific breakdown and can't find one: these two tabs are merchant-wide only — there's no store filter here, unlike other analytics sections.

  • Your numbers seem low compared to your actual sales: check whether a lot of your sales are walk-ins with no customer attached — those aren't included in most of these numbers.

  • You want this delivered weekly instead of monthly: that's not available for these two reports — monthly is the only option.

  • You're looking for one customer's own numbers, not the whole account: open that customer's profile instead — it shows their own total spent and order count directly.
