What's new v2.8

Manually Apply Bundle Deals

Bundle promotions like "3 for $10" no longer have to wait for the register to trigger them automatically — your cashiers can now turn them on directly from the discount drawer.

Once a bundle is selected, it stays active for the rest of the order. It automatically forms as qualifying items are added to the cart, and goes dormant if those items are removed. A few things to know:

  • Bundles apply at the cart level, not to individual items.

  • Only bundles that have been fully configured in Back Office will show up in the discount drawer.

Add a Note to Any Order

You can now attach a note to any order in progress — not just orders you're holding for later.

  • A new Add Note / Edit Note button appears at the top of the cart summary once there's at least one item in the cart.

  • The button label switches to Edit Note once a note has been added.

  • The note travels with the order all the way through checkout and is saved with the completed sale.

  • To remove a note, simply clear the field — leaving it blank will delete it.

Improvements

Loyalty balance now shows its dollar value on receipts.

Receipts that display a customer's loyalty point balance will now also print what those points are worth, e.g. "$10.00 in points," right beneath the balance. This is based on your store's redemption settings — if your location doesn't have a redemption program set up, you won't see the extra line.

Bug Fixes

Cart & Checkout

  • Fixed an issue where resuming a parked order and completing it could cause the sale to be silently dropped due to a reused order number. Resumed orders now receive a fresh invoice number, and the original parked order is still properly cleared once the sale is complete.

  • Fixed a display issue where the checkout panel showed the text "null" on sales with no customer attached. It also no longer shows "null" next to a customer's email when they have an email but no phone number on file.

Receipts

  • Refund receipts now include additional fees, like bottle deposits and CRV, shown as negative amounts — so the refund total adds up correctly.

  • When only part of an item's quantity is returned, the receipt now prints the fee for just the returned portion rather than the fee for the full original sale.

  • Long fee names (like "California Redemption Value 2 through 25 ounces") now wrap onto additional lines instead of getting cut off.

Dialogs

  • Fixed an issue where the on-screen keyboard could cover the Save and Cancel buttons when adding a note or a customer. The dialog now resizes to stay visible above the keyboard.

Configuration

  • Fixed an issue where item counts could appear missing or outdated after saving a configuration change on some stores, so on-hand quantities now stay accurate.

What's New v2.8.2

Sales & Checkout

  • Fixed an issue where a card payment could go through but the sale wouldn't save if the register signed out mid-transaction (for example, from an automatic inactivity logout). Your register will now stay signed in during an active sale, and every completed card payment will be saved correctly.

  • Fixed an issue where adding items to the cart or starting a refund could occasionally fail. These now work reliably every time.

Cash Drawer

  • Fixed an issue where closing a cash drawer could show an error if no shift was open. Closing the drawer now works smoothly in all cases.
