How Setting Up DoorDash Integration Works
Access requirements. You need "Integrations" edit access for the specific store — this is granted per user, per store, not merchant-wide.
This is set up per store, not once for the whole account. Connect each location separately.
Back Office doesn't collect DoorDash credentials directly. Connecting sends you to DoorDash's own portal to finish their side — business verification, menu review, and anything else they need.
Four readiness requirements must be met before you can even start: store onboarding complete, more than 200 items loaded (merchant-wide, not just this store), a complete store address and phone number, and your own name and email on file.
This isn't the same as the "DoorDash" tender option under Settings → Devices → Tender configuration. That's a separate feature that just toggles DoorDash as a payment type at checkout — it doesn't connect your store to DoorDash for delivery orders, which is what this article covers.
Checking Readiness
Step 1
Go to Settings → Stores, and open the store you want to connect.
Step 2
Click the "Integrations" tab, then the "DoorDash" card.
Step 3
Confirm all four readiness checks are green: store onboarding complete, more than 200 items loaded (merchant-wide, not just this store), a complete store address and phone number, and your own name and email on file. Fix whichever ones aren't before continuing.
Connecting to DoorDash
Step 4
Enter an "Expected go live date" and a "Decision maker email." The email must belong to a business admin in the DoorDash Merchant Portal, not just anyone at your store.
Step 5
Click "Connect to DoorDash."
Step 6
Click "Complete needed onboarding steps" to continue on DoorDash's own portal — this is where you'll finish business verification, menu review, and anything else DoorDash needs from their side.
Tracking Onboarding Status
Step 7
Back in Back Office, a status tracker updates automatically as DoorDash processes your connection — you don't need to keep checking or clicking anything. Once DoorDash actually starts working, the tracker shows "Your DoorDash integration is being built" along with DoorDash's own internal status code. When it's finished, the tracker is replaced entirely by an "Integration active" banner.
Step 8
If an error appears, click "Contact support." If you need to start over before DoorDash has begun processing, use "Restart integration" — once DoorDash has started, this option is no longer available.
Configuring Pricing and Availability
Step 9
Under "Integration configuration," set a "Markup" percentage to apply to prices sent to DoorDash (or use Pricing Rules instead, if you have that enabled), and a "Par value" — items at or below that quantity show as unavailable on DoorDash.
Step 10
Save your changes.
Configure Your Register Markup
Step 11
Head to Settings -> Devices
Step 12
Ensure you have marked your Ecommerce Order Price Increase % Field to reflect DoorDash markup.
Pausing and Reactivating
Step 13
Once your store is live, use "Pause my store" to stop DoorDash orders temporarily — choose 30 minutes, 1 hour, 8 hours, 24 hours, or until a specific time.
Step 14
Click "Reactivate now" to bring it back early, or let it resume automatically once the pause ends.
What It Looks Like
While waiting on DoorDash to begin, the tracker shows a placeholder step for the catalog build.
Once DoorDash is actively working, that same step instead shows "Your DoorDash integration is being built," along with DoorDash's own internal status code — this is DoorDash's raw status, not simplified wording.
A completed onboarding replaces the tracker entirely with an "Integration active" banner and the date your store went live — the tracker doesn't show every step as checked off first.
A paused store shows a warning banner with when it's paused until, and a "Reactivate now" button.
An onboarding error shows a red step in the tracker with a "Contact support" button and a "View error" link.
This is currently a One-way integration. The Two-way integration is being released soon.
Troubleshooting
"Connect to DoorDash" is disabled: one or more readiness checks aren't met yet — confirm store onboarding, item count, store address/phone, and your own profile are all complete. The item count is your whole merchant account's total, not just this store's, so adding items to a different store can also clear this check.
"DoorDash onboarding has already been initiated for this store": someone already started this — check the current status in the tracker before trying to start again.
Can't find "Restart integration": it's only available before DoorDash has begun processing — once it has, contact support instead.
An error appears in the tracker: click "Contact support" and "View error" so support has the details they need.
The DoorDash option you're looking for is under Tender configuration, not here: that's a different feature — it only controls whether DoorDash shows up as a payment type at checkout, and doesn't connect your store for delivery orders.
"Markup must be 0% or greater": enter a non-negative number.
Pausing or reactivating fails: try again, or contact support if it keeps happening.
