Adding and Managing Users

This guide walks you through how to manage users within the Scotch POS platform.

Viewing User List

To get started, click on "Settings" in the left-menu bar.

Next, click on "Users"

Within the Users page, you can view all users, including their invitation status, whether they've accepted their invite or it's still pending. Their role, whether they're an admin, manager, or cashier user. the user status. To change a user's status, click the dropdown to toggle between Active and Inactive.


Add New User

To add a new user, click the orange "Add User" box in the top right.

Step 6

First, fill out the users contact information, including name, email, and mobile phone number. It is important to provide complete contact information, as this is how Scotch support will identify the user and their account should the user ever interact with our support team via email or sms.

Step 7

For account-level back-office permissions, select if the user should have no access, view-only access or full edit access to each product feature.

Step 8

Additionally, for store-level back-office permissions, select if the user should have no access, view-only access or full edit access to each product feature.

Step 9

For register permissions, determine if the user should have a manager role with full access to register features or a cashier role with full access to checkout flows but limited access to other features within the register.

Step 10

Lastly, input a four-digit pin for the user, which they will use to clock in and out and log into the register.

Click the orange "Save" box at the bottom when all information is complete.


Edit User

To edit a user, click on their name within the users page.

Step 13

From here, you can edit their contact information or any permission sets for back-office and register.

Step 14

You can also view and edit their four-digit pin if necessary.

Step 15

Click "Save" to confirm all changes.
