Layout and Navigation

How to Open It

From the Product list, click any item. The redesigned drawer slides in from the right with three tabs at the top: Details, Sales and orders, and Related.

Wider Drawer with Responsive Sizing

The drawer is now slightly wider. On smaller screens, it opens as a centered popup rather than a side panel, so you always have enough room to work.

Inline Editing with Per-Section Saves

The header now has a single Edit / Done toggle. When you enter edit mode, all sections become editable in place. Each section has its own Save button, so you can update one section without committing changes to the whole product.

Deep linking

The URL in your browser reflects the current drawer state — which product, store, and tab you’re viewing. You can copy the URL and share a direct link to any product drawer view.

Header

Pack Size Switcher

If a product has multiple pack sizes, clicking the product name in the header reveals a dropdown to quickly jump between them — no need to close the drawer and search again.

Inactive Badge

A red “Inactive” pill appears next to the product name for any variant that isn’t currently active.

More actions menu

The kebab menu (⋮) now includes: Full edit (legacy page), Add pack size, Add to label print queue, and Delete item.

Details Tab - Reorganized

The Details tab has been restructured from a flat list of fields into clearly labeled sections:

  • Price and cost setup - Sell / Order toggles, Stock, Avg cost, Last cost, Price, and Margin all visible at a glance.

  • Item details - Lays out volume, container, pack size, SKU, UPC, brand, style, and location clearly in one place.

  • Link Inventory - The new Link inventory button lets you connect items that share stock across pack sizes. Example: if you sell a beer as a 12-pack and also as singles, link them — and Scotch POS will automatically break down the 12-pack as you sell singles. No more manual adjustments to keep counts accurate.

  • Ordering details - Covers distributor and receiving details.

  • Promotions and sales - Shows all promotions and sales relevant to the item.

  • General Info - Displays information such as brand, style, ABV, etc.

  • Advanced settings - Where you can apply all relevant tags to a product.

Sales and Orders Tab - New

A complete performance view for the item:

  • Order history - Last 3 orders per location.

  • Sales history - Across 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and recent sales periods.

  • Stock overview - On hand, reserved, on order, units/week, days of supply.

  • Inventory adjustments - Sold, received, manual, transfers.

View all stock changes and View all sales take you to a full filtered page if you need to dig deeper.

Related Tab - New

Shows all other sizes and packagings of the same product, grouped by format (for example, “750ml BTL”). Click any item to load its drawer. The item you’re currently viewing is highlighted.
