Product List View

This guide shows how to navigate the Scotch POS product list, search and edit products, filter inventory, and create customized views for efficient inventory management.

Product List Overview

Step 1

In this video, we will be going over the product list feature on the left hand side of the screen under products.

Clicking on this tab will bring you to a screen listing your entire inventory. You can scroll all the way to the right to see the data in all columns. On the top bar, you will see a search bar. You can enter the name, size, or type of product you are looking for.

Next to the search bar is a tab to select all products or only active products.

Step 4

The third tab has a drop down to select location or store for accounts with more than one store.

The last tab indicates which View you are currently in and the option to switch to a different view.

Step 6

To search for an item, simply type the details into the search bar. This will actively populate the items in the inventory that match the search.

Step 7

In this example, let's search for Coors Banquet. To edit the data on this product, click on it to pull open a side drawer that shows the current data in the system.

This side drawer view provides info related to this product and options for editing each component.

Step 9

For example, to edit the UPC, press edit in the top right corner and then type or scan the UPC in the designated box.

To save the item details, click ''Save'' on the bottom right.

To edit the price and cost information, click Edit at the top next to the Price and Cost Setup section header.

From there, edit the relevant information in the pop-up window, such as unit stock, cost, price, and whether the item can be sold or ordered.

Click Done in the top right corner to save all changes.


Save Product List Views

In addition to editing individual products, the Product List tab allows you to create different views with filtered information of your choosing. Currently, the default view is being displayed as indicated by the top right drop down option. On the right-hand side, you will notice a tab labeled columns.

If you click on this tab, you will see all the columns in the product list screen. Add and remove columns by selecting and de-selecting the blue checkbox beside the column name. Additionally, drag and drop the columns in the order that you would like to view them.

Underneath the column tab is the filters tab. Click on the tab to add new filters.

Selecting any of these options allows you to filter your inventory by different attributes. For example, to filter by distributors, select the distributors field.

From here, you will be prompted to put in filter logic. For example, we can search for only products that come from Jackson Beverages. To save the columns and filters applied to the view shown, click the floppy disk icon in the top right.

To create a new view, click the view dropdown and scroll down to New View.

You will be prompted to provide a name for the new view in a pop-up window.

Step 21

Once the new view is created, you can edit the columns and filters to save for this particular view.

Select and order columns in the way you want to view them.

Once you've applied the column and filter settings you want, select the floppy disk in the top right corner to save them to the new view.
