How Password Resets Work
Your password is separate from your register PIN. Your password logs you into Back Office on the web; your 4-digit PIN is what you use for actions at the register. Resetting one has no effect on the other.
A reset link only works once, and only for 24 hours. Requesting a new link immediately cancels any link you were sent before it — only the most recent one works.
There's no way to change your password from inside Back Office if you're already logged in. If you're not locked out and just want a new password, log out and use "Forgot your password?" — or ask an admin to send you a reset link instead.
An admin can send you a reset link, but can't set or see your password directly. Clicking "Reset Password" on your profile just emails you the same link you'd get yourself.
If you use the same email address across more than one Scotch account, a reset email only ever reaches one of them. If you manage multiple accounts, use a different email for each, or ask an admin at the other account to trigger the reset from their side.

Troubleshooting
A reset link says it's expired or already used: request a new one from "Forgot your password?" — only your most recently requested link works, and it's only good for 24 hours.
You never received the reset email: double-check you're using the email your account is actually set up with, and check your spam folder. If you use that email at more than one Scotch account, it may have gone to a different one.
You're logged in and just want to change your password, without being locked out: there's no in-app way to do that — log out and use "Forgot your password?," or ask an admin to send you a reset link.
Your new password won't save: it needs to be at least 6 characters — there's no other requirement.
You don't see a "Reset Password" button on your own profile: that's expected — admins can send a reset link to other users, but not to themselves.
