Bulk Editing Products
How Bulk Editing Works
Access requirements. You'll need edit access to "Product list."
There are two separate bulk menus, and they work differently. "Bulk edit" changes settings on the specific items you picked. "Edit product families" changes settings on the whole product — every pack size of it, not just the ones you selected.
"Select all" applies to your entire search or filter, not just what's loaded on screen. If you've searched or filtered down to a smaller set, selecting all and bulk-editing affects every matching item, not only the visible rows.
Some fields apply everywhere, others only apply to the store you're currently viewing. "Status," for example, is catalog-wide — turning items inactive affects them at every store, not just the one selected on the Product list. Fields like stock count, "On count list," "Orderable," "Sellable," "Shelf location," and "Bin" only apply to whichever store you have selected.
Some fields queue a shelf label reprint at every store that sells the item, not just the one you're viewing. Container type, size, style, sub-style, varietal, country, and region all do this.
Large bulk edits are processed in chunks, and there's no single "undo" for the whole thing. If something goes wrong partway through, whatever was already applied stays applied — you'd need to go back and fix specific items rather than roll back the whole batch.
Important: turning items "Inactive" through bulk edit affects them at every store they're sold at, not just the store you're currently viewing.

Bulk Editing Items
Step 1
Click on "Products" in the left-menu bar, then click on "Product list."
Step 2
Search or filter down to the items you want, then select them — or select all to include everything currently matching your search and filters.
Step 3
Click "Bulk edit" and choose what to change: units per case, discountable, sellable online, allocated, status, track inventory, container type, size, count list, orderable, sellable, current stock, shelf location, or bin. (Some options only appear if your account has certain features enabled.)
Step 4
Enter the new value and confirm.
Important: container type and size changes queue a shelf label reprint at every store that sells the item — not just the one you were viewing when you made the change.
Important: "Shelf location" and "Bin" are set per store, so a bulk edit to either one only applies at the store you're currently viewing. To set them at another store, switch stores on the Product list and repeat the bulk edit there.
Editing Product Families in Bulk
Step 5
Select the items you want to change. Any pack size of a product works — the whole product family updates together regardless of which specific pack size you picked.
Step 6
Click "Edit product families" and choose what to change: brand, supplier, distributor, division (a smaller group set up underneath one of your distributors), department, style, sub-style, varietal, country, or region.
Important: "Edit division" only works when every item you selected shares the same distributor. You pick the distributor first, then the division — and if there's only one distributor available for your selection, it's filled in for you and greyed out, so you only need to pick the division. If your selection spans different distributors, or the shared distributor doesn't have any divisions set up yet, you'll get a "Can't edit division" message explaining why and nothing is changed.
Step 7
Review the confirmation screen. It lists every product and pack size that will actually be affected — this can be more than what you selected, since the whole product family changes together.
Important: this changes every pack size under the product, not just the rows you selected. Review the confirmation screen carefully before continuing.
Step 8
Click "Continue to edit," make your change, and confirm.
Troubleshooting
A bulk edit didn't seem to apply to one item: for stock-related fields (count list, orderable, sellable, current stock), that can happen if the item is missing setup at the selected store — check that item individually.
You marked several items inactive, and one still looks active somewhere: "Status" is catalog-wide, not store-specific — double check you selected the right item, since it isn't a per-store setting.
A shelf label reprinted that you didn't expect: container type, size, style, sub-style, varietal, country, and region changes all queue a reprint at every store that sells the item, not just the one you were working in.
Part of a large bulk edit applied and the rest didn't: large selections are processed in chunks — if one part fails, everything before it has already been saved. There's no single undo; fix the specific items that didn't go through.
"Edit product families" changed more items than you selected: that's expected — it edits the whole product, so every pack size under it changes together, not just the rows you picked.
