How Sales Windows Work
Access requirements. You need edit access to "Settings" — the same permission that gates the rest of the Store edit page, not something separate for Sales Windows. Unlike some other store-level permissions, "Settings" is granted per user across your whole account, not per individual store.
There are two different kinds of "sales history," and they're calculated completely differently. "MTD sales" and "YTD sales" are calendar-based — they reset on the 1st of the month or year. P1/P2/P3 are rolling, trailing windows you define yourself, unrelated to the calendar.
Each window is a "days ago" range, not a date range. Day 1 means yesterday — today doesn't count, since it isn't a complete day yet. Values run from 1 to 730, and a window's start and end must be filled in together, or both left blank to turn it off.
Windows can overlap or sit back-to-back — your choice. Nothing stops P1/P2/P3 from nesting (1–7, 1–28, 1–84) or being consecutive blocks (1–7, 8–28, 29–84).
A single window tops out around 126 days, so a full year isn't possible in one window — think in terms of a week, a month, or a quarter instead.
Setting Your Sales Windows
Step 1
Go to Settings → Stores, open the store you want to configure, and stay on the "Store details" tab.

Scroll down to "Customization."
Step 3
Enter "Window 1 days start" and "Window 1 days end" (and the same for Windows 2 and 3). As you type, a label under each field shows the actual calendar date that day represents, so you can check your range before saving.
Step 4
Save, then refresh the page before checking anywhere else — screens you already had open won't pick up the new windows until you reload.
Example: Week / 4 Weeks / 3 Months

To get a rolling week / ~4-week / ~3-month view, set:
Window 1: 1 to 7 (the last 7 days)
Window 2: 1 to 28 (the last 4 weeks)
Window 3: 1 to 84 (twelve weeks) or 1 to 90 (about 3 months)
Where P1/P2/P3 Show Up
Step 6
The most direct place to check is Products → Product list. Look for "Sales p1/p2/p3" and "Combined sales p1/p2/p3" right in the grid — these show your three windows' unit counts side by side, not a rate. For an actual rate, use "Units/wk" instead, a single blended figure across your windows. "Days supply" is here too. All of these are visible by default; if you don't see them, use the grid's column chooser (the panel icon) to turn them back on.
Step 7
Click any item's name on that same list to open its drawer. Under "Sales & orders," the Highlights row always shows fixed "1 week," "1 month," and "3 months" columns — and, once your windows are set, adds P1/P2/P3 columns alongside them, each with a tooltip spelling out its exact range.
Step 8
The same "Sales p1/p2/p3" and "Combined sales p1/p2/p3" columns are also available on the purchase order line-items grid when you're ordering from a vendor — handy for referencing recent sell-through while you decide what to reorder.
What It Looks Like
On the item drawer, if your windows aren't set yet, the P1/P2/P3 columns just don't appear — only the fixed "1 week"/"1 month"/"3 months" columns show.
On Product List and the order grid, an unset or not-yet-populated window shows as a dash ("-") instead of a number.
"Sales p1/p2/p3" and "Combined sales p1/p2/p3" show three numbers separated by slashes (for example, "12/34/56") — one per window, in P1/P2/P3 order.
"MTD sales" and "YTD sales" are visible by default on Product List, but hidden by default on the purchase order grid — don't be surprised if the same store looks a little different between the two.
Troubleshooting
Only seeing "Last sold," "MTD sales," and "YTD sales," but not the P1/P2/P3 columns: "MTD sales" and "YTD sales" are calendar-based and always available regardless of your window settings. The window-based columns ("Sales p1/p2/p3," "Combined sales p1/p2/p3," "Units/wk," "Days supply") — including "Last sold" itself — are visible by default on both Product List and the order grid, so if you're missing them, check the column chooser; someone likely hid them for this view.
Set your windows and don't see them reflected anywhere: refresh the page. Screens you already had open before saving won't pick up the change on their own.
P1/P2/P3 columns show dashes: your store's Sales Windows probably haven't been configured yet — set them under Customization first.
Item drawer doesn't show P1/P2/P3 at all: same cause — the drawer only adds those columns once your windows are set; until then it shows just the fixed 1 week/1 month/3 months columns.
Not sure if 126 days is a hard limit: treat it as one — a window longer than that isn't meant to be supported.
The calendar-date preview while typing looks off by a day: it's calculated using your browser's own clock and time zone, not the store's — if your computer's time zone differs from the store's, the preview can be a day off from what actually gets saved.
