Setting Up Your Uber Eats Integration

Connecting Uber Eats keeps your menu, prices, and availability in sync automatically — but it works differently from DoorDash: no order flow, and no pause button once you're connected.

How Setting Up Uber Eats Integration Works

Access requirements. You need "Integrations" edit access for the specific store — the same permission that gates DoorDash, granted per user, per store, not merchant-wide.

  • This is feature-flagged. The "Uber Eats" card only appears on the Integrations tab if your account has Uber Eats menu sync turned on. If you don't see it at all, that's the likely reason — check with support rather than assuming it's broken.

  • This works differently from DoorDash. There's no readiness checklist, no go-live date, and no multi-step status tracker. You connect through Uber's own login, then assign which of your Scotch stores matches each Uber Eats location Uber already knows about.

  • It's outbound-only. Scotch pushes your menu, prices, and availability to Uber Eats — but orders placed on Uber Eats don't come back into Scotch. Cashiers reconcile those sales at the register using the separate "Other Payment → Uber Eats" tender, which is unrelated to this setup.

  • There's no pause or reactivate. "Disconnect" stops syncing for good — there's no temporary pause with an automatic return, unlike DoorDash.

Markup isn't configured here — this is the key difference from DoorDash's setup. DoorDash has its own markup field right on the Integrations screen; Uber Eats doesn't. You'll set it under Settings → Pricing rules instead, the same place as any other sales channel's markup.

Connecting to Uber Eats

Step 1

Go to Settings → Stores, open the store, click "Integrations," then the "Uber Eats" card.

Step 2

Click "Connect." This takes you to Uber's own login, not a form in Back Office — log in with your Uber Eats Merchant account there.

Assigning Your Uber Eats Stores

Step 3

Once connected, Back Office discovers the Uber Eats locations tied to your account. For each one, pick which of your Scotch stores it matches, then confirm the pairing.

Step 4

Confirming a pairing pushes your full menu to that Uber Eats store for the first time — Scotch's catalog replaces whatever was there before.

Setting a Par Value

Step 5

For each paired store, set a "Par value" — items at or below that quantity show as unavailable on Uber Eats, the same idea as the equivalent DoorDash setting.

Setting a Markup for Uber Eats Orders (Optional)

This is the one piece that isn't on the Integrations screen at all — DoorDash has its own markup field there, but Uber Eats doesn't. You'll set it under Settings instead.

Step 6

Go to Settings → Pricing rules, and click "Add price level."

Step 7

Choose "Sales channel" as the type, then select "Uber Eats" from the channel dropdown.

Step 8

Set up the markup rule — calculation method, direction, value, and rounding — the same way you would for any other sales channel, then save.

What Isn't Here

  • There's no go-live date, readiness checklist, or multi-step status tracker like DoorDash has — a pairing is either not yet confirmed or fully active, nothing in between.

  • There's no pause/reactivate. Stopping syncing temporarily isn't supported — see Disconnecting below.

Disconnecting

Step 9

To stop syncing a store entirely, use "Disconnect." This is permanent for that pairing — there's no scheduled return like DoorDash's pause.

What It Looks Like

  • The Uber Eats card shows "Action needed" until you've paired at least one discovered store, and "Active" once a pairing is provisioned.

  • Orders placed through Uber Eats never appear as pending or unpaid orders in Scotch — they're settled entirely on Uber's side.

Troubleshooting

  • Don't see the "Uber Eats" card in Integrations at all: your account likely doesn't have Uber Eats menu sync enabled yet — check with support.

  • Connected to Uber but don't see any stores to assign: Uber Eats store discovery runs in the background after connecting — give it a bit before assuming something's wrong.

  • Looking for a markup field like DoorDash has: it's not on this screen — go to Settings → Pricing rules instead, add a price level, and choose "Uber Eats" as the sales channel.

  • Need to pause syncing temporarily: there's no pause here — Disconnect stops it for good, and you'd reconnect and re-pair when you're ready again.

  • An Uber Eats order isn't showing up in Scotch: expected — this integration only pushes your menu and pricing outward. Orders placed on Uber Eats stay on Uber's side; reconcile them at the register using the "Other Payment → Uber Eats" tender instead.
